I think that some of the songs have been tweaked to a newer version. Either the instruments or the vocals. If you listen to Bad Luck you can hear that it is definitely a different vocal. After Mike says "some people like to rock and roll" he lets out a "Yaaa" that is not in the original. I think it is a good album and Far Behind turned out great. I will definitely being purchasing it on the 26th!!!!

i'm not sure, the first time listening to the tracks off the s/t and sbhah albums i thought, oh well, i can clearly identify "greasy" charlie quintana's drumming and the mix is more refined, not so edgy and whatnot, so they re-recorded all the stuff. then i thought, nah, it's re-mastered, maybe with voice overdubs.
but the point is: if they took the time and effort to re-record those fuckers, don't you think they would have written that on their home page in letters big as fucking barndoors in order to make all those die-hard-and-already-have-all-the-studio-and-live-recordings-as-well-as-all-the-motherfucking-bootlegs-so-
what-the-hell-do-I-need-a-"greatest hits"-cd-fans buy the album?

i guess we will have to wait until the Cd comes out. The credits will give us all the answers. There may be a few minor tweaks here and there but defenitely not completely re-recorded. Think of it this way, Self Titled was recorded almost 18 years ago with 3 out of 4 different musicians. If they were re-recorded now with the current lineup the difference would be night and day.

ok, got hold of it this morning. nice artwork, a brief history. and yeah, it's definitely not newly recorded, but some things sound different. which is probably just down to remastering.
one thing though, i always thought dennis died of a brain aneurysm, in the booklet it says he died of a heart failure. not that it matters much, just something i noticed.

I feel sick and tired.Social d. is more as just music for me.Its a part of my life in better days or not so good days. But the GH sucks! Just Far Behind is a real cool song. The rest of the songs a more or less bad masterings. Some are just only digital masterings and not from the originals imo.The worst mastering of all are the WHWLWT songs. The history in the booklet you can find on very Social D. fanpage.1945(Bonus Europe) is not a live version is hte 13th floor version you can find on Mainliner. That my opinion! Whats yours?

ok I just got it from itunes and gave it a good listen...and they are definitely not just the same songs remastered! Vocal, guitar, and drum tracks are different, it couldn't just be remastered. You can hear guitar parts that weren't there before, drum fills that weren't there, and like someone else said the vocals are current Ness (raspier?) I don't feel ripped off at all, I mean come on it was only 9.99 on itunes, they didnt just slap it together they re-recorded things and made them better, and there's 2 new songs. I think everyone should stop protesting now
